Introduction

Our Home is a Victorian town house set back from the road. It has six guest rooms The house is over one hundred and fifty years old and whilst we aim to meet the needs of all our guests, there are some period features which might make access difficult for people with limited mobility  We have no ground floor guest rooms and therefore Agincourt Lodge is  not suitable for wheelchair users.

 

Pre-Arrival

·         We are located on the A445 Warwick to Leamington Spa road. We are ideally situated for those travelling by car, bus or train.

·         The nearest shops are within easy walking distance as are many excellent eateries offering many different cuisines

·         The nearest bus stop to Leamington is 1 minute walk away. The X17 bus to Leamington runs every 15 minutes during peak times.

·         The nearest railway station is Warwick which is approximately 7 minutes walk away.

·         Warwick Parkway railway station is approx 2 miles away. A taxi would be required to arrive from Warwick Parkway to Agincourt Lodge

·         Leamington Spa railway station is approximately 2 miles away, again a taxi is the best option to travel from the station to Agincourt Lodge

·         Taxis are usually available at the stations but we can book one for you in advance if required.

·         There are several local taxi companies; we can make bookings in advance for you.

·         We are unable to accommodate pets.

·         We regret we do not have facilities to prepare documents in braille.

Arrival and Car Parking

·         Please advise us of your anticipated arrival time so that we can be sure we are here to welcome you.

·         Your accommodation is normally ready by 12.30. We ask that guests arrive before 12.00 or after 17.00. Early arrivals can pick up keys and park their car, however the room may not be ready. Arrival at other times by prior arrangement please.

·         Parking is off road, on a level drive at the front of the property. We have further parking at the rear of the property.

·         We offer assistance with luggage.

 

 Main Entrance

·         There are three steps of 9 inches up to the front door with a hand rail on one side.

·         The front door is normally closed and requires a front door key to open it.

·         Please ring door bell on your arrival.

 

Guest Accommodation – Public Areas

bulletThe guest house is a Victorian Town House set back 50 metres from the road
bulletReception desk in the hallway, where you will be asked to fill in a Guest Registration form.
bulletThe hallway leads into a guest lounge and dining room where breakfast is served.
bulletAlso from the hallway is the main staircase. This has 14 + 7stairs with a handrail up to the first floor bedrooms 1, 2 and 3. A further staircase with 16 stairs takes you up to guest rooms 5, 6 and 7
bulletAll bedrooms, hallways and common area’s are carpeted.
bulletThe rear garden is accessible on request. This is accessed from the front door, down four steps which leads to the garden gate.
bulletThere is an extra toilet on the first level. This is available to guests during the day / evening
bulletWe have six guest bedrooms of which three are on the first floor and three are on the second floor (please see section “Bedrooms” for more information).
bulletThe guest house is centrally heated throughout but temperatures can be adjusted in each room to suit individual requirements.

 

Hallway, Lounge and Dining Room

bulletGuests are welcome to use the lounge at any time.
bulletThe lounge has two sofas and two single lounge chairs. This room has a television and a DVD / CD player.
bulletA selection of local information, maps and magazines are available in the hallway and lounge.
bulletBreakfast is served in the dining room.

 

Bedrooms

bulletThe three bedrooms 1, 2 and 3 on the first floor are all with king size four poster beds.
bulletRooms 1 and 2 are conventional four posters with drapery around the top. Room 3 is a French four poster, this has four decorative posts and no top.
bulletThe three bedrooms 5, 6 and 7 on the second floor have standard double beds
bulletAll beds are accessible from both sides (except room 6 single beds)
bulletThere are en suite facilities consisting of a shower, WC and wash basin in all rooms with the exception of room 7. Room 7 has a washbasin in the room and it’s own private (not shared) facilities across the hallway.
bulletRoom 6 is our family room. This has a standard double and two single beds.
bulletCompliment tray including tea, coffee, hot chocolate and snack are provided in all rooms (complimentary bottled water is also provided in rooms 1, 2 and 3). Fresh milk is available on request.
bulletAll bedrooms have double glazed windows.
bulletClock / Radio alarms, TV and hairdryers are in all rooms.
bulletIron / Ironing board,  Toothbrush / toothpaste, Sewing Kit and First Aid  available on request.
bulletOur beds are normally made with duvets. All pillows are synthetic
bulletBlankets are available if preferred. Please request before your arrival if required.
bulletThere is a wardrobe, chest of drawers and dressing table with stool in each room.
bulletAll bedrooms have one or two additional seats.
bulletThere is a folder in each bedroom which contains further information about the guest house and details of emergency contacts including doctors and hospitals.

 

Gardens

bulletWe have a large rear garden with patio, lawns, fish pond with bridge over, flower beds and fruit trees.
bulletGuests are very welcome to enjoy our garden on request.

 

Additional Information

bulletThere are fire extinguishers in the entrance hall and in the hallways on the first and second floors
bulletIn the event of a fire the fire alarm will sound. Please advise us if you have a hearing impairment and might not hear this.
bulletThe building can be evacuated via the front door at the bottom of the guest stairs. (Please read Fire Procedure on the back of the bedroom door)
bulletWe do not permit smoking in any area of the house.
bulletWe are happy to cater for special diets or any particular likes or dislikes. Please advise us of these before your arrival.
bulletWe are happy to refrigerate any medication. We can also keep any perishables (such as milk) in our fridge for a limited period.
bulletMobile phone reception at the guest house is good.
bulletFree Wi Fi is available throughout the building.
